Maxwell W. Steel, III, MD is a graduate of the US Air Force Academy and Thomas Jefferson University, College of Medicine. He completed his internship and a year of surgical training at Wilford Hall USAE Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas and an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. Dr. Steel is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic surgery, specializing in general orthopaedics.
Dr. Steel has a special interest in the areas of Sports Medicine, Foot and Ankle Surgery, and Total Joint Replacement and joined the JOI team in October 2006. Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute is the official partner of the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars.
